The four women who joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta as full-time cast members for Season 16 were Shamea Morton Mwangi, Brit Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley. Shamea was already a familiar face as a longtime friend of the group; Brit, Kelli, and Angela made their first full-time appearances. The season premiered on Bravo on March 9, 2025.
Who were the new full-time cast members on RHOA Season 16?
Season 16 brought four different Atlanta connections to the show: Shamea’s history with Porsha Williams, Brit’s insurance and consulting work, Kelli’s food businesses, and Angela’s entrepreneurial profile. These are career details reported in 2025, not confirmation that every business or role remains unchanged.

Shamea Morton Mwangi: a longtime friend steps into the cast
Shamea was not a first-time face on RHOA. Bravo described her as a longtime friend who became a full-time Housewife in Season 16. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that she had been close to Porsha Williams since childhood and had worked as an actor, singer, dancer, and V-103 radio host.
Bravo’s season description put Shamea’s family and motherhood in the foreground and suggested that her longtime friendship with Porsha could face strain. That was the show’s promotional framing of the season, rather than an independent account of the women’s private relationship. In the AJC interview, Shamea said, “I’m thrilled to finally share my entire story.”

Brit Eady: insurance experience, consulting, and fashion
The AJC described Brit as a former model who had owned an insurance agency and was consulting when interviewed in March 2025. Bravo’s career overview also named her insurance and entrepreneurial work, including Agency Jumpstart and the Bare and Naked fashion line. Those are reported career details from that period; the sources do not establish the brands’ current offerings.
Bravo’s preview teased tension among friendships and referred to a “catastrophic event.” The phrase was promotional copy, so it should not be read as a verified description of a specific event. In the AJC interview, Brit said, “I’m very transparent,” while describing a perceived contrast between herself and Angela Oakley.

Kelli Ferrell: restaurants and a cookbook
Kelli’s public profile centered on food. The AJC identified her as the owner of Nana’s Chicken and Waffles in McDonough, and Bravo described her as a restaurateur and cookbook author. Bravo lists her 2019 cookbook as Kooking with Kelli and says she appeared on Food Network competition programs. The sources do not confirm current restaurant operations or cookbook availability.
The season’s introduction also placed Kelli in a post-divorce chapter and connected her story to parenting. These were details in the season’s reporting and promotional context, not a claim about her present circumstances. Discussing why she joined the show, Kelli told the AJC, “Hopefully, I can inspire women in a similar position to show them there is life after divorce.”

Angela Oakley: entrepreneurship and a high-profile marriage
The AJC described Angela as an entrepreneur working in real estate investing and tax preparation and identified her as married to former NBA player Charles Oakley. Bravo’s career overview also noted the couple’s charitable work through the Charles Oakley Family Foundation; the cited coverage does not independently verify current business or foundation activity.
Bravo’s season setup framed Angela as finding her footing in the group and navigating unexpected feuds. Those descriptions concern the program’s storyline; private disputes should be understood as depicted or described by the show and the people involved.

How Season 16’s cast was presented
Bravo’s May 2024 announcement named Porsha Williams, Kenya Moore, and Drew Sidora among the returning cast and said Cynthia Bailey would appear as a “friend.” Shamea’s role was distinct: she moved from longtime friend of the series to full-time cast member. The season’s later 2025 framing also included Phaedra Parks, while Cynthia remained a friend, so the earlier announcement was not the final description of the season lineup.
Season 16 premiered Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. The announced plan was next-day streaming on Peacock. Bravo’s June 2025 post-season update said the show was streaming on Peacock, but current catalog availability may vary by date and region.
