ABC News reported in 2024 that Murphy has 10 children—six daughters and four sons. The family guide below groups them by mother.

Bria, Myles, Shayne, Zola, and Bella Murphy are the children of Eddie Murphy and Nicole Mitchell. The couple married in 1993 and divorced in 2006.
Melanie Brown (Mel B)
Angel Iris Murphy is the daughter of Eddie Murphy and Melanie Brown, known as Mel B. ABC News reported that Murphy acknowledged paternity after a paternity suit and DNA test.

Izzy and Max Murphy are the children of Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher. Murphy and Butcher married in a private ceremony in 2024.
How the wider family connects
Eric Murphy, Jasmin Lawrence, and Ari Skye
Eric Murphy married Jasmin Lawrence, daughter of actor Martin Lawrence, in 2025. The Associated Press described the marriage as making Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence in-laws. Us Weekly reported that Eric and Jasmin’s daughter, Ari Skye, was born in April 2026.

Myles Murphy and Carly Fink have two daughters, Evie and Zuri. ABC News reported Evie’s birth in July 2019; Us Weekly named both girls in its 2026 family update.
Bria Murphy and Michael Xavier
Bria Murphy is married to actor Michael Xavier. In November 2025, Us Weekly reported that Bria was expecting her first child. The cited reporting does not confirm a birth.

Murphy’s family at the 2026 AFI ceremony
At the April 2026 AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony, Murphy said: “Seeing all of my family, all my kids, my beautiful wife, and seeing all the different people I worked with, I’m just really filled up.” Martin Lawrence joked about the family connection: “Now I can get all the pictures I want,” adding, “Because we’re in-laws.”
