McDonald’s Japan’s 2025 Street Fighter burger collaboration paired three burgers with Ryu, Chun-Li, and Ken. The character matchups make the campaign feel like more than a familiar fast-food tie-in: each fighter got a distinct menu concept. Calling the collab “perfect” is an opinion—but as a piece of character-driven marketing, it landed neatly.
What were the McDonald’s Street Fighter burgers?
McDonald’s Holdings Company (Japan), Ltd. launched the limited-period promotion on October 22, 2025, describing it as its first collaboration with the Street Fighter franchise. The company reported seven promotional items in the launch lineup; these were the three burgers:
| Burger | Character association | Reported concept |
|---|---|---|
| Roasted Garlic Mayo Egg Teriyaki | Ryu | Teriyaki burger with roasted garlic mayonnaise and egg |
| Yurinchi Mayo Chicken | Chun-Li | Yurinchi-style chicken burger with mayonnaise |
| Torichi | Ken | Triple cheeseburger |
The company named the three burgers in its October 16, 2025 announcement. The character pairings and further menu descriptions were reported by Time Out Tokyo.
Why the character match works
Ryu: a familiar, hearty classic
Ryu’s teriyaki burger combines roasted garlic mayonnaise and egg. It reads as the substantial, dependable choice in the lineup—an apt fit for the franchise’s iconic, disciplined fighter.

Chun-Li: a distinct chicken option
Chun-Li’s yurinchi mayo chicken gives the menu a different center of gravity from the beef-based concepts. The pairing connects a recognizable Japanese-style chicken preparation with the series’ most prominent female fighter.
Ken: an all-in triple cheeseburger
Ken’s Torichi is described as a triple cheeseburger, making it the most overtly stacked concept of the three. That boldness suits the fiery rival without requiring the menu to explain the joke.
