Customers who ordered through the McDonald’s App could receive a code for in-game rewards, but the listed redemption deadline—October 29, 2024—has passed. The offer is no longer active.
What was the Genshin Impact and McDonald’s collaboration?
HoYoverse and McDonald’s paired two limited-edition menu items with different Genshin Impact reward bundles: a Genshin Impact Apple Pie and a Genshin Impact Deluxe McCrispy Meal. HoYoverse announced the U.S. launch on September 17, 2024; the official event description gave the full promotion dates as September 17–29, 2024. HoYoverse’s announcement and the official Genshin Impact event description framed it as a U.S. offer.
What rewards came with each menu item?
The two codes offered different kinds of rewards: the pie code provided resources and a recipe, while the meal code provided cosmetic items.
| Qualifying item | In-game rewards |
|---|---|
| Genshin Impact Apple Pie | 40 Primogems; the Golden Apple Pastry recipe and three servings; 20,000 Mora; four Mystic Enhancement Ore; and two Hero’s Wit. |
| Genshin Impact Deluxe McCrispy Meal | Wings of Delicacies Wind Glider and the Celebration: Crispy and Sweet Namecard. |
These reward quantities and item names are from the official Genshin Impact event description. HoYoverse’s press release also described the promotion as two limited-edition products for U.S. customers.

How did customers get the codes?
The announced reward process required ordering the qualifying item through the McDonald’s App. The code was to be sent to the email address associated with the McDonald’s App/MyMcDonald’s Rewards account, according to the official event description. Buying the food outside that stated app flow was not identified as a way to receive the promotional code.
Can you still redeem a Genshin McDonald’s code?
No. The official description listed October 29, 2024, at 23:59:59 (UTC-9) as the redemption expiration. That deadline has passed, so the collaboration code offer is expired. The products were also limited-time menu items offered during the September 17–29, 2024 promotion.
