In January 2019, reports said MC Melody’s father, Thiago Abreu—known professionally as MC Belinho—would step away from managing his daughters’ careers, with Melody’s mother, Glória Daiane Severino, taking responsibility. The handover was reported as a change at that time, not a permanent arrangement: in an August 2023 interview, Melody said her father managed her career again. The sources available do not confirm who manages her as of October 8, 2026.
Why was a change announced in 2019?
The announcement followed controversy over how Melody’s career and public image were being handled. In a statement reproduced by Palco Pop on January 23, 2019, her father apologized for what he called “excesses” in his approach to his daughters’ careers and said he would step away. His words, as reported, were: “Venho a público pedir desculpas pelos excessos que cometi em relação à carreira das minhas filhas” (“I come forward to apologize for the excesses I committed regarding my daughters’ careers”). Palco Pop’s January 2019 report
The dispute also involved concerns about the way Melody was presented publicly. Her mother, Glória Daiane Severino, was quoted as saying, “Nunca fui a favor (da sensualização). Sempre fui contra” (“I was never in favor of [the sexualization]. I was always against it”). That is her stated position, rather than an independent finding about the family’s disagreement. Did Melody’s mother take over?
Contemporaneous reports described her mother assuming responsibility, but the details distinguish account administration from management of an entire career.

The January announcement
Palco Pop reported that Glória would take responsibility for the girls’ careers. Sabrina de Campos, an advocate involved in the proposed support, said the group planned to advise Melody’s mother and be present as she took on the role. This was an announced plan; the report does not establish that every part of the proposed support was carried out. Palco Pop, January 23, 2019
Social account and career management
On January 24, GZH reported that Melody’s Instagram account had returned and that its profile identified her mother as responsible for account management. The outlet also described disagreement about the proposed organization of Melody’s career and her father’s handling of content. Responsibility for an Instagram account is narrower than control over all career decisions. GZH, January 24, 2019

In a February 10 follow-up, RD1 reported that her mother held the career-management role at that time and that her father said Melody had accepted the new phase. That report documents the arrangement as described then; it does not establish how long it continued. RD1, February 10, 2019
What did Melody say about her management later?
In an August 2023 interview with Leo Dias, reported by Hugo Gloss, Melody said her father managed her career and that she, her father, and her sister administered their business together. She explained: “Quem administra é meu pai, eu e a minha irmã. Nós somos uma empresa, eu sou emancipada, então, os três administram” (“My father, my sister, and I administer it. We are a company; I am emancipated, so the three of us administer it”). Asked whether she planned to change managers, she said, “Meu pai é até o resto da vida” (“My father will be [my manager] for the rest of my life”). These are Melody’s statements about the arrangement in 2023, not confirmation of her manager today. Hugo Gloss’s report on the interview

Who manages MC Melody now?
The available reporting does not establish her management arrangements as of October 8, 2026. A March 2026 gshow profile discussed her professional maturity and ambitions but did not identify a current manager. The clearest supported timeline is therefore a reported maternal handover in 2019, followed by Melody’s account in 2023 that her father managed her career again, alongside her and her sister. gshow’s March 2026 profile
