Yes. Matt Little reprised his role as VJ Patterson in Home and Away for the 2024 wedding of VJ’s mother, Leah Patterson, and Justin Morgan. The cameo brought VJ back into Leah’s family story and reunited Little with former and current castmates.
Why VJ returned for Leah’s wedding
Little played VJ, Leah’s son, from 2014 to 2017. His appearance in the wedding story gave Leah’s son a place in the celebration as she married Justin, played by James Stewart. Ada Nicodemou played Leah, while Penny McNamee also returned as Tori Morgan, Justin’s sister. 7NEWS reported on the returning cast and family connections.

What Matt Little said about returning
Little described seeing people from the cast again as emotional. “It was amazing (reuniting with) long time friends and it was really quite emotional to get to work with people that I haven’t worked with in a long time and I was close to,” he told PerthNow in an interview published on 27 March 2024. He had been asked to keep the cameo quiet on social media, the outlet reported.
In a separate interview published the same day, 7NEWS described Little’s return as “fitting into an old place.” The phrase captured the familiarity of stepping back onto a set he had left several years earlier.

What “wedding of the decade” meant
The phrase came from Stewart’s description of the planned celebration, not from an independent ranking of television weddings. “We aimed for… and I’m not using these words lightly, but wedding of the decade. And that’s what we’ve got,” he told PerthNow.

The wedding was promoted for viewers in April 2024. IMDb’s episode listing gives 9 April 2024 as the air date for “Justin and Leah’s Wedding,” but that is a secondary database listing; an official Seven schedule confirming that exact date is not established here.
