Why did Matt Dyktynski leave Mix 94.5?
Dyktynski said he was leaving to focus on Funeral – The Musical, which he co-wrote with his wife. Mediaweek quoted him saying: “I’ll be focusing on a musical that I have written with my wife, called ‘Funeral – The Musical’, which had its first public reading in August. I’m very excited to get this off the ground.” (Mediaweek, 13 September 2023)
When was his last show?
His final breakfast broadcast was reported as Friday, 15 September 2023. PerthNow and Mediaweek both reported that date; the announcement followed an eight-year run on the show. (PerthNow, 14 September 2023; Mediaweek, 13 September 2023)
What is Funeral – The Musical?
It is a musical written by Dyktynski and his wife. The September 2023 coverage establishes that it had a first public reading in August of that year. Those reports do not establish whether it was later staged, published, recorded, or scheduled, so its subsequent status cannot be confirmed from them.
