Spoilers for “Game Day,” season 1, episode 14 of Matlock. The episode’s official story title is “Game Day”; the headline “Matty Faces Her Worst Fear” describes its central turn. As Matty follows Julian’s keycard trail to find the missing Wellbrexa documents, the evidence points toward Olympia—but stops short of proving what happened.
What happens to the Wellbrexa documents?
A flashback shows Julian meeting Shae in a parking lot. As recounted by What to Watch, Shae explains that a temporary worker in Wellbrexa’s legal department mistakenly sent 342 pages. If the material entered Jacobson Moore’s system, it could expose the fictional company’s opioid-related conduct and put its revenue—and the law firm’s fees—at risk. Julian says he cannot do anything illegal, but takes the documents out of the office.
Matty and Edwin try to reconstruct Julian’s movements from his keycard check-ins. The first trail leads Matty to a shredding room, but that route does not resolve the mystery: Jacobson Moore remodeled seven years earlier. When she checks the card’s path on the other floor, it shows entries into the women’s bathroom and Olympia’s former office.
That trail makes Olympia the episode’s most pointed suspect and suggests she may have used Julian’s card to hide the documents. It is an implication drawn from the access records, not a confession or conclusive proof. The episode leaves Matty facing the possibility that the person implicated is also a friend, putting her loyalty to her new circle against her determination to avenge Ellie. The matching Collider headline syndicated on IMDb summarizes that feared conclusion, though its available excerpt provides no additional plot details.

What is the Slammed case?
Olympia’s case-of-the-week is a class action against Slammed, a fictional beverage company. Plaintiff Tucker Hall says he drank the product, blacked out, and jumped from a moving car. The defense argues that Slammed is safe and frames the harm as misuse.
A doctor in the episode testifies that Slammed contains five times the alcohol of other products, along with caffeine. That is an in-story claim, not an independently verified product statistic. Kennedy, whose actions contributed to the death in the previous episode, may testify if granted immunity. After the judge excludes evidence, Bitsy offers Matty an idea; the case ends with Tucker accepting a $100,000 settlement, a fictional outcome reported in the recap by What to Watch and Tell-Tale TV.
