Those accounts described limited money and sentimental belongings, but disclosed no estate value. They were media reports citing People and unnamed sources—not a published will or probate inventory.
Who reportedly received Mary Kay Letourneau’s estate?
A September 2020 report by The Daily Beast said People reported that Letourneau left her estate to Fualaau and their two daughters. The account said the beneficiaries would divide it and attributed details to an unnamed family insider. Oxygen, reporting the following day and also citing People and unnamed sources, identified the daughters as Georgia and Audrey.
These are reported inheritance details, not independently verified terms of a will. The articles do not reproduce a will or cite a probate inventory, so they do not establish the precise distribution or whether the press accounts describe the complete estate.
What did the reports say was in the estate?
Oxygen characterized the estate as including “the little money she had” and personal belongings, and said the family was more interested in sentimental items. Photographs and memories were mentioned as examples. Neither report disclosed a dollar amount or total estate value. The available accounts therefore support describing the estate as modest and personal in nature, not assigning it a specific financial worth.

Were Letourneau and Fualaau divorced?
Estate coverage called Fualaau Letourneau’s “ex-husband,” but the relationship timeline in the available reporting does not independently confirm a final divorce. An Associated Press obituary published by the Los Angeles Times says the couple married on May 20, 2005, in Woodinville, Washington, and that King County court records show Fualaau sought legal separation on May 9, 2017. The material cited here does not verify a final divorce filing or judgment, so “ex-husband” is best understood as the label used in the estate reports rather than a confirmed court finding.
What is established about their relationship and her death?
The AP obituary reports that Letourneau was Fualaau’s sixth-grade teacher and that he was 12 in 1996. It says she later pleaded guilty to child rape and that the couple married after her prison sentence. Letourneau died in July 2020 at age 58 of advanced colon cancer, according to her lawyer as reported by AP. Oxygen reproduced a family statement describing her death after a battle with stage IV cancer.
