The four dates once listed for untitled Marvel movies were February 13, 2026; November 6, 2026; July 23, 2027; and November 5, 2027. They were calendar placeholders, not confirmed film identities—and later schedule changes mean they should not be read as Marvel’s current slate.
What “untitled Marvel” meant on the calendar
A studio calendar entry marked “untitled” reserves a release date. It does not, by itself, confirm a film’s title, story, cast, or production status. The four dates are best understood as entries in an earlier release-calendar snapshot, not as four revealed projects.
The four dates and how their status changed
| Former date | What later reporting said |
|---|---|
| February 13, 2026 | Variety reported in May 2025 that the Marvel placeholder had been removed. Variety, May 2025 |
| November 6, 2026 | Variety reported in May 2025 that the entry had been relabeled “Untitled Disney,” rather than “Untitled Marvel.” Variety, May 2025 |
| July 23, 2027 | Variety reported in July 2025 that Marvel was holding this date for an unnamed film. A December 2025 schedule exhibit still listed an Untitled Marvel Studios Film for the date. Later reporting said The Simpsons Movie sequel took the slot previously held by Marvel, then moved. The date’s status is therefore especially volatile; the earlier listing does not establish a currently scheduled Marvel movie. Variety, July 2025; Motion Picture Association schedule exhibit, December 2025; GamesRadar |
| November 5, 2027 | Variety reported in May 2025 that the entry had been relabeled “Untitled Disney.” Variety, May 2025 |
How these dates relate to named Marvel films
Disney’s official 2026 announcement listed Avengers: Doomsday for December 18, 2026, and announced Ghost Rider and Black Panther 3 for 2028. Variety’s 2025 reporting listed Avengers: Secret Wars for December 2027. Those are separately reported projects and dates; the available reporting does not identify any of them as the films behind the four former placeholders. Disney’s announcement; Variety, July 2025

What cannot be inferred from the old list
- The four entries do not reveal four film titles, plots, casts, or production statuses.
- A calendar hold is not proof that a film is in production or remains scheduled for that date.
- “Untitled Disney” should not be treated as synonymous with “Untitled Marvel”; Variety reported those labels separately.
- The former dates do not confirm rumored projects such as Doctor Strange 3, Shang-Chi 2, or an X-Men film.
