Marvel’s own descriptions confirm that Squirrel Girl has defeated Doctor Doom, Thanos and Galactus—but they do not publish an official ranking or substantiate ten separate victories. The evidence supports a careful comparison of those three villains by their usual threat scale, not a definitive “top 10.”
What counts as a confirmed defeat?
Doreen Green, better known as Squirrel Girl, stars in The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, an all-ages adventure series featuring her squirrel companion Tippy-Toe and friend Nancy. Marvel’s guide says she has beaten Doctor Doom and Thanos; its description of issue #37 and its 2016 collection page also say she defeated Galactus. These are Marvel’s promotional summaries, not an official ranking or a complete account of the issues.
That distinction matters: a villain’s customary standing in Marvel stories is not a measure of how difficult a particular encounter was, and a summary saying “defeated” does not tell readers whether the win came through direct combat, a joke, persuasion, help from others, or an event described off-panel. The ranking below therefore compares only the three victories Marvel explicitly confirms, from the broadest usual threat scale to the more individual one.
Three confirmed victories, ranked by usual threat scale
1. Galactus
Galactus ranks first by the scale of the threat he typically represents in Marvel stories. Marvel’s description of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #37 says Squirrel Girl has defeated him, and the 2016 collection page repeats that claim. Neither short description explains how the encounter ended, so it would be speculation to describe a specific tactic or imply that she overpowered him in a conventional fight.

2. Thanos
Marvel’s official Squirrel Girl guide and its 2016 collection page both name Thanos among the villains she has defeated. The available short descriptions do not explain the circumstances of that victory. Thanos ranks below Galactus here only as an editorial comparison of their usual threat scale—not as a claim that Marvel has established a fixed hierarchy or that this particular encounter was easier.

3. Doctor Doom
Marvel’s guide says Squirrel Girl has beaten Doctor Doom. The official descriptions of issues #4 and #5 establish that she confronts him and that the conflict continues into a final battle. Marvel’s #37 description and the 2016 collection page also include Doom among her defeated foes. The available summaries do not provide enough detail to reconstruct the decisive moment.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why this is not a ten-villain ranking
Marvel’s official guide says Squirrel Girl takes on Kraven the Hunter and Whiplash, but that wording alone does not confirm she defeats either of them. A community answer also lists M.O.D.O.K., Terrax, Mandarin, Pluto, Bi-Beast, Deadpool, Giganto and Bug-Eyed Voice as supposed victories; that secondary list is a lead for checking the comics, not enough evidence to present each as a confirmed win.
Without issue-level confirmation for those candidates, filling out seven more places would turn an uncertain list into an unsupported one. Marvel’s published descriptions support three named victories, not an official ten-entry ranking. For readers who want to check the series in context, Marvel’s guide provides a reading path.
