Disney’s clearest official Marvel TV reveal at its May 13, 2025 Upfront was Krysten Ritter’s return as Jessica Jones in season two of Daredevil: Born Again. A separate report from BGR said the presentation also included a Marvel Television sizzle reel featuring Ironheart; that footage detail was not in Disney’s written recap.
What Disney officially announced about Daredevil: Born Again
In its recap of the New York presentation, Disney said Ritter would join season two and reprise Jessica Jones. The recap also noted that Ritter greeted attendees alongside Charlie Cox. Disney introduced the return with the line “She’s back!” without naming a speaker for the phrase. Disney Advertising’s May 13 recap and The Walt Disney Company’s May 14 recap document the announcement.
What BGR reported about the Marvel presentation
BGR reported that Cox took the stage to promote season two of Daredevil: Born Again, which was then in production, with a 2026 release expected at the time. Those were plans reported around the May 2025 event, not a current schedule confirmation. BGR also reported that Marvel Television’s sizzle reel included Ironheart. BGR’s May 13 event report is the source for those details; Disney’s written recap does not mention the reel.
What was said about Ironheart’s release
BGR reported a June 24, 2025 premiere date for Ironheart. Disney France’s May 14 announcement also gave June 24 as the planned Disney+ premiere and announced the series’ trailer and poster. That regional release announcement corroborates the date, but does not establish what footage appeared at the Upfront. Disney France’s announcement is evidence of the planned date in May 2025, not a verification of present-day availability.

How to interpret the other figures in Disney’s recap
Disney’s event recap included advertiser-facing figures from Rita Ferro: 164 million global ad-supported monthly active users and 200,000 hours of premium content. These figures described Disney’s broader advertising and content offering, not Marvel viewership. The recap also referred to more than 100 talent across the overall presentation; that was not a count of people in the Marvel segment.

Disney+ included Marvel Television’s Wonder Man in a 2025 slate announcement published July 8, 2025, with a December release then planned. Because that announcement came later, it is not evidence that Wonder Man was revealed at the May Upfront. Disney+’s July slate announcement provides the later context.
