The reported cast brings together MCU returnees and performers associated with the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises. The announcement was a cast reveal—not confirmation of the film’s plot.
What was the Avengers: Doomsday cast livestream?
Marvel began broadcasting cast announcements on its social media accounts in a livestream publicizing Avengers: Doomsday. A secondary report dates the event to March 26, 2025, and describes it as revealing much of the remaining cast. The available accounts do not establish a complete roster, so the names below are a selection rather than a definitive cast list.

Who was revealed in the Avengers livestream?
The reported lineup includes established Marvel Cinematic Universe characters as well as actors associated with the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises. Among the MCU returnees named in the secondary report:
- Chris Hemsworth as Thor Odinson
- Tom Hiddleston as Loki
- Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America
- Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man

The report also names performers playing characters associated with Wakanda and Talokan. Its coverage does not provide a basis here for treating those names—or the selection above—as a complete, independently verified cast list.

How does the cast announcement fit the next Avengers film?
Avengers: Doomsday is identified in the reporting as the next Avengers film. Robert Downey Jr. had previously been announced as Doctor Doom, and Anthony and Joe Russo were reported to be returning as directors. The cast announcement indicates an ensemble drawing from Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four characters; it does not, by itself, confirm how those characters will interact or what the story will be.
When was the livestream, and when is the film due?
The cast livestream was reported as taking place on March 26, 2025. The secondary reference lists December 18, 2026, as the film’s US theatrical release date after a schedule change. Release schedules can change, so check Marvel or Disney’s official listings for the current date before making plans.

How many people watched the livestream?
Secondary reporting relays two audience figures: approximately 100,000 concurrent YouTube viewers and 275 million views in the first 24 hours. These numbers are not interchangeable: concurrent viewers describe an audience at one time, while a 24-hour view total uses a different measurement window. They should be treated as reported figures, not as independently verified Marvel statistics.
