During an interview with Ebro Darden on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, Lawrence was asked whether he wanted to address people concerned about his health. Hot 97 published its account on June 4, 2024. Its transcription quotes him saying: “I’m fine. I’m in Gods hands. I’m blessed- I’m glad to be waking up everyday and everything. Why fans were concerned after the premiere
Concern spread after clips from the Bad Boys: Ride or Die press tour and Los Angeles premiere circulated online. The Los Angeles Times reported that a viral premiere clip showed Lawrence holding co-star Will Smith’s left hand as Smith was introduced to fans off camera. It also noted concern about an earlier interview with Extra. The Independent described reactions to a press-junket clip and to Lawrence appearing unsteady while holding onto Smith at the premiere. What the reports establish—and what they do not
The reports establish that Lawrence publicly addressed the concern and said he was fine. They do not provide independent medical confirmation or establish a diagnosis. A clip, or an audience’s interpretation of someone’s appearance in it, cannot by itself determine a person’s health. The film’s full title is Bad Boys: Ride or Die; “Bad Boys 4” is shorthand used in headlines and public discussion.
