Madison also says, “I don’t think that I can probably continue in my marriage personally.” She acknowledges the situation is messy and says, “I don’t think it’s fair to Allen and I know that it’s messy and I think that this could be something.” David appears visibly surprised in the clip.
Who was married to whom?
In the Season 18 experiment, Madison was married to Allen Slovick, while David was married to Michelle Tomblin. The episode preview therefore presents Madison telling another participant’s husband that she has feelings for him while both marriages are part of the experiment.

The same reunion coverage reported that the experts had not anticipated the connection: Pastor Cal Roberson answered “at all” when Michelle asked whether they knew something was happening, and Dr. Pia Goff added, “we had no clue.” The experts had originally paired Michelle with David and Madison with Allen. Pastor Cal also said, “Marriage is not the time to try something.”
