What did Jack say about the spark?
In scenes covered by PerthNow on January 30, 2024, after the couple’s wedding and honeymoon episodes aired, Jack said: “There’s no sexual sparks flying for me at the moment.” He also described them as “not sexually connected at all.” Those were Jack’s on-screen comments about how he felt at that point in the experiment, not an independent assessment of their private relationship. PerthNow’s contemporaneous report records the exchange.

How did Tori describe their chemistry?
Tori’s account in the same report differed from Jack’s. She said: “There’s definitely like a sexual energy there. And sexual chemistry is super important to me.” The contrast is between two participants’ statements on the show; it does not establish a definitive account of what either privately felt.
Why did Jack and Tori say they were taking their time?
In a later Today Extra interview, as recapped by Nine, Jack said he was ready for intimacy but wanted romance and to “do it right.” He described six or seven weeks as an acceptable period to build trust, respect and a bond, and said two adults could take their time.

Tori said they had agreed early on that intimacy should not be a “transactional exchange” and that they wanted it to mean something. This later explanation describes their stated approach; it does not erase or contradict Jack’s earlier comment about not feeling a spark at that moment. Nine’s recap of the interview also pointed viewers to episodes streaming free on 9Now at the time that page was published.

The sequence captures a change in context: Jack’s initial on-show description of the chemistry, followed by a later explanation from both about waiting for a meaningful connection. These are statements made in reality-TV coverage, not a diagnosis or conclusive evidence about the couple’s private relationship beyond what they said.
