Cassandra also said that arguments and what she called “combat” had come to outweigh their fun. She put it this way in the Nine interview: “By the time it got the arguing and the combat outweighing the fun that we had, then I was like ‘No, we’re not meant to be’.” Those are her retrospective words about their relationship, not an independent assessment of either person.
How did Tristan describe the split?
Tristan described the relationship as a rollercoaster, but also said it had been one of the best things he had done. He told Nine: “My relationship with Cassandra was like a rollercoaster, but probably one of the best things I’ve ever done though.” He also said he had been working on himself and had learned from the experience; that is his own account of personal growth, not a clinical conclusion.

Are Cassandra and Tristan still together?
No: Nine reported that they ended the relationship during the experiment. In its exit interview, Nine said they remained in each other’s lives at that time. Tristan said of Cassandra, “She will always stay in my life, she’s such a special lady.” A 2024 WHO report quoted Cassandra saying she thought they might be better as friends. These are historical accounts; the available reporting does not establish their relationship status as of October 2026.
