Why was Mark Seymour the headliner?
Seymour is best known as the frontman of Hunters & Collectors, the Melbourne band he led in the 1980s. At Beeliar Sun Sets, however, the billed act was Mark Seymour & The Undertow—not Hunters & Collectors. The City’s announcement connected the show with the band’s song “Throw Your Arms Around Me” and said the set was expected to draw on Seymour’s album The Boxer alongside familiar songs including “Holy Grail” and “Do You See What I See.”

The Boxer was released in 2024. The City called it a new album in its 2025 announcement, a description that reflected the period rather than its status today. The artist’s official music page continues to feature the album, and the official merchandise store lists CD and red LP formats; current stock and regional availability are not established here.
