Mark Hamill shared a birthday tribute to George Lucas on X for Lucas’s 80th birthday, according to a report published May 14, 2024. The report connects the message to Lucas’s influence on Hamill through Star Wars, but it does not reproduce the full post, so its headline should not be treated as a verified transcript.
What did Mark Hamill say about George Lucas?
A May 14, 2024, article on Its Prime Media, sourced to Screen Rant, reports that Hamill posted a birthday tribute to Lucas on X. It identifies Hamill as the actor who played Luke Skywalker and frames the tribute around Lucas’s influence through Star Wars.

The accessible report does not include the original post’s full text, and the original X post was not located in the reviewed material. The headline phrase “You Changed My Life Forever” therefore cannot be confirmed here as Hamill’s exact wording or as a complete account of what he posted.
Why the tribute is tied to Star Wars
Hamill’s best-known connection to Lucas is his role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. The report presents Hamill’s birthday message as an expression of the impact Lucas had on his life through the franchise. That interpretation belongs to the secondary report; the available material does not establish further details about the message or the two men’s personal relationship.
