Maná vocalist Fher Olvera became a father in July 2007, when his girlfriend, Ana Ivette Verduzco, gave birth to their son in Guadalajara, Mexico. A report published by People en Español said the baby would be named Dalí, after the Catalan painter.
What People en Español reported
Published on July 23, 2007, the report said the birth had taken place the previous Friday in Guadalajara. It identified Olvera as a 47-year-old Mexican vocalist and Verduzco as his girlfriend at the time. The story described the couple’s son as Dalí, honoring the famous Catalan painter.
What the report said about the delivery
According to People en Español’s account, labor began before doctors performed a C-section five hours later because the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck. The article reported that mother and child were in perfect condition at the time it was published; that is a contemporaneous update, not a statement about their present-day health.
Birth details attributed to Fher’s press release
The article reproduced a press-release statement from Olvera giving the birth time as 2:56 p.m. and the baby’s weight and length as six pounds and 19 inches. These are figures attributed to Olvera in that release, not measurements independently verified by the report.

People en Español presented these words as a press-release quotation, not as an interview.
