Phillip said the arrangement ended after he witnessed Combs become violent with Ventura, an experience he connected to his first episode of erectile dysfunction. That was Phillip’s account in court, not a medical finding or a verdict about the disputed conduct.
What Daniel Phillip testified happened
Phillip, whom Court TV identified as a professional stripper, told jurors that he was first hired to strip at a bachelorette party in a Manhattan hotel. According to Court TV’s account of his testimony, he said Ventura asked him for a massage with baby oil while Combs was in the room wearing a robe, cap and bandana. Phillip testified that Combs presented himself as working in importing and exporting, though Phillip recognized his voice.

Phillip said Combs watched him have sex with Ventura, sometimes gave instructions and at times filmed the encounters. Court TV’s trial coverage places the testimony on May 12, 2025, the first day of the federal criminal trial in Manhattan. Related reporting described Phillip’s account as involving multiple paid encounters between 2012 and 2014, with payments amounting to thousands of dollars; those are reported details of his testimony, not independently verified transaction records.
Why he said the arrangement ended
Phillip testified that he saw Combs slap Ventura and heard her scream, “I’m sorry,” before she ran from the room and jumped into Phillip’s lap. He said he asked Ventura why she stayed despite what he viewed as danger. Phillip later connected witnessing Combs’s violence to experiencing erectile dysfunction for the first time, and said the arrangement ended. The account of the incident and its effect is Phillip’s testimony as reported by Court TV; it does not establish a clinical diagnosis.

Phillip also testified that he feared the consequences of reporting what he had seen. “My thoughts were that this was someone with unlimited power,” he testified. “And chances are that, even if I did go to the police, I might still lose my life.”

On cross-examination, the defense challenged Phillip’s account and suggested he had feelings for Ventura. He acknowledged being attracted to her but denied wanting to isolate her from Combs, according to Court TV’s chronology and trial reporting. The prosecution later returned to Phillip’s claim that Combs directed his sexual activity with Ventura.
Rank #2
Phillip’s testimony is evidence presented by a witness, not a judicial finding. The cited coverage reports selected testimony rather than providing a complete official transcript; disputed conduct should therefore remain attributed to the witness and reporting.
