The reports describe Major RD himself as the father-to-be—not his father—and say the balloon burst beneath the horse, releasing pink powder.
What happened at Major RD’s chá revelação?
POPLine and Rap Mais reported that Major RD staged the reveal in a covered, sand-covered area while friends and family watched. He rode a horse toward and over a balloon; when it burst, pink powder announced that he would have a girl. Both outlets published their reports on May 8, 2023, describing an event from the previous day.
The account comes from secondary reports about the reveal. The original social-media post or video was not independently verified, so the details are best attributed to those outlets rather than presented as direct verification.
What did Major RD say about the pregnancy?
POPLine reproduced a statement attributed to Major RD’s social-media announcement. In Portuguese, he wrote: “Eu escondi esse tempo todo por questão de energia e esperei o momento certo pra contar… Kathleen (Luna) descobriu que estava grávida 4 meses atrás. Hoje descobrimos o sexo do bebê e eu vim contar pra vocês que: VOU SER PAI DE UMA MENINA. Tô muito feliz”.

In the statement as published, Major RD said he had waited for the right time to share the news, that Kathleen (Luna) had discovered the pregnancy four months earlier, and that he was very happy to be the father of a girl. POPLine identifies Kathleen (Luna) as the baby’s mother. The social-media wording is reported by POPLine; no separate official transcript or recording is established here.
Why was a horse part of the reveal?
Both reports connect the choice of a horse with Major RD’s interest in horses. Rap Mais also says he had announced buying a Mangalarga horse the year before. Neither report establishes that the horse used in the reveal was that specific animal, so its breed should not be assumed.

How should the headline be understood?
The phrase “Major RD’s Father” can suggest that Major RD’s father hosted the reveal. The reports instead identify Major RD as the expectant father and central participant. In Portuguese, the coverage describes it as a “chá revelação a cavalo” or an unusual “chá revelação”; in this instance, the horse and balloon were the reveal’s defining elements.
