Spoilers for the third night of Married at First Sight’s 2024 season. Episode 3 opens with a groom already left without a match, then shifts to two very different wedding introductions: Natalie and Collins’ awkwardly sweet meeting, and Jayden and Eden’s affectionate start. Why is Michael’s match missing?
According to Fenner’s recap, relationship expert John Aitken opens the episode by telling Michael that his match has withdrawn. Aitken says the man emailed after the bucks’ and hens’ night to say he no longer wanted to take part in the experiment. He tells Michael not to lose hope.

Fenner reports Aitken’s words as: “After the bucks’ and the hens’ night, your match decided to send us an email, saying he no longer wanted to be a part of the experiment.” That line is quoted in the recap; it should not be treated as independently transcript-verified.
How do Natalie and Collins meet?
The recap introduces Natalie as a cosplayer and physiotherapist who enjoys working with older people. She had previously been in a seven-year relationship. Collins, a trivia host, had never been in a relationship.

At their wedding, Collins asks Natalie where she would like to be kissed. Later, at the reception, she gives him a matching necklace and asks, “Will you be my player one to my player 2?” Fenner reports Collins telling producers that Natalie is “a lot” and that he is a slow burn. Together, these moments make their introduction feel tentative and endearingly awkward rather than immediately romantic.
What happens at Jayden and Eden’s wedding?
Jayden Eynaud is identified in the recap as Mitch Eynaud’s brother; Mitch helps him prepare for the wedding. Fenner says Jayden and Eden had both been cheated on in previous relationships. Their ceremony and reception are described as affectionate, making their early dynamic a clear contrast with Natalie and Collins’ slower start.

One small moment comes when the pair sit on a swing and sip water. Fenner presents it as sweet. Her suggestion that the connection “can only end badly” is comic speculation, not an episode fact or confirmation of what happens later.
