Spoilers for Season 7, Episode 31. The Islanders spend the day caring for baby dolls, but the challenge is not a simple test of who can change a diaper: the stroller race and a disagreement between Huda and Chris bring out very different reactions. What happens in Episode 31?
Episode 31 aired July 7, 2025, and runs 57 minutes. Peacock’s episode listing centers the day on the Islanders caring for babies, with a lucky couple heading to the Hideaway. In the challenge, each couple has to feed, comfort, and change a baby doll.

The girls head to brunch while the boys stay with the babies. The men then race strollers around the Villa, adding a competitive, comic beat to the day. The challenge gives the couples a shared task, but it does not establish how they would parent in real life or prove the strength of any relationship.

Peacock’s Week 5 recap, published July 9, 2025, identifies Clarke and Taylor as the couple who take the best care of their baby. Four couples pass overall; two fail.

The official recap reports performance in the challenge, not a broader judgment of the couples. Its pass/fail results should be read as the episode’s game outcome rather than a verdict on their compatibility.
Why does the challenge affect Huda and Chris?
Huda is especially grateful for the experience because she sees it as a rare opportunity to engage with parenting. During the boys’ turn caring for the dolls, she becomes frustrated with Chris’s approach. He, in turn, feels she is controlling him, and the disagreement exposes a real tension beneath the playful setup.

Later, Huda explains that the challenge brought up past trauma and that she misses her daughter. Chris apologizes, and Peacock’s recap says the two appear to come back stronger. That emotional context matters: the conflict is not just a comedic squabble over the doll, and Huda’s feelings should not be reduced to a punchline.
What else changes among the couples?
The baby challenge sits alongside several relationship developments in the episode. Nic tells Ace that he is open to exploring a connection with Olandria. Chris tells Bryan he was intimate with Huda the night before. Chelley plans a date for Ace, while Iris and Pepe reflect on their day.

Does Episode 31 end with an elimination?
No. Peacock lists the baby challenge and Hideaway in Episode 31. The vote reveal and the dumping are listed for the following episode, Episode 32. The elimination is looming over the Islanders, but it does not happen in this installment.
