Who was still together at the reunion?
Netflix’s reunion recap covers all six engaged pairs. Only Safa and Mohammed had married; Dounia and Chafic had resumed their relationship but were not engaged or married. Karma and Ammar, Hajar and Simo, Asma and Khatab, and Noor and Mido were separated by reunion time.

What happened with each couple?
Karma and Ammar
Karma and Ammar called off their relationship before their wedding. Their disagreement included Karma’s dancing: she described ending the relationship as the right choice, while Ammar framed his objection in broader social and ideological terms. Those were the participants’ views, not evidence about Arab people or society as a whole. Karma said, “It was smart for us to go our separate ways.”

Hajar and Simo
Hajar withdrew at the wedding, and the two were still in conflict at the reunion. Netflix’s recap describes differing views about the relationship and a mismatch in personality and expectations.
Safa and Mohammed
Safa and Mohammed were the only pair to marry. At the reunion, they said they had traveled, honeymooned, moved in together and started family planning. Safa credited their communication, saying, “our communication is what’s kept us together.” Netflix’s later franchise guide also lists them as together at reunion time; neither source establishes their relationship status on October 8, 2026.
Asma and Khatab
Although they did not marry on the wedding day, Asma and Khatab continued dating for about two months afterward. They said work demands and frequent arguments made the relationship difficult. Khatab said, “We figured we were better off as friends.”
Dounia and Chafic
Dounia and Chafic had broken up before their wedding, then reconciled and were dating again at the reunion. They were not engaged or married then. Chafic described making room for Dounia’s relationship with her mother. Dounia said, “He was my No.1 from the start.” The National reported in January 2026 that they later confirmed they had split in 2025.

Noor and Mido were not together by the reunion. Mido said he regretted proposing after seeing how their personalities and expectations fit in the real world. Money was one point of conflict, and the Netflix recap says he apologized at the reunion.

The reunion provides an update after the wedding episodes, but its relationship statuses are tied to the time it was filmed and released. A wedding decision, a reunion update and a later breakup are separate milestones. That distinction matters especially for Safa and Mohammed: their marriage and reunion-time relationship are documented, but the cited sources do not provide a current-status update for 2026.
Love Is Blind, Habibi follows Arab singles who date in separate pods, become engaged before meeting face-to-face, and then test their relationships in everyday life before deciding whether to marry. Netflix describes it as the franchise’s first unscripted dating series set in the United Arab Emirates. The first season’s nine episodes premiered October 10, 2024; the reunion followed November 1.
Is Love Is Blind, Habibi season 2 out?
As of The National’s January 20, 2026 report, Netflix had confirmed a second season for 2026 but had not announced a premiere date. That report named Wissam Breidy and Rym Saidi as the new hosts.
