The Loupedeck Live S is a compact USB control surface for operating streaming and creative software, with 15 touch-sensitive buttons, two analog dials and four tactile buttons for switching layouts. It may suit a streamer who wants dedicated controls for scenes, audio or other app actions, but its usefulness depends on the software and plugins in the workflow. Loupedeck stopped selling its product line in March 2025, so check current stock and seller details before buying.
What the Loupedeck Live S does
The Live S connects to a computer over USB and lets users assign software actions to physical controls. Its touch-sensitive buttons provide haptic feedback; four tactile buttons switch layouts, and swiping the touch area accesses up to 14 additional pages. The two analog dials can be assigned adjustments, while profiles, macros and toggles let users organize actions for different applications or tasks. These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not findings from independent hands-on testing. Loupedeck’s product page lists the controls, dimensions and weight.
Loupedeck positions the device for scene and source switching, audio adjustment and muting, lighting control, and commands in streaming, creative and productivity apps. Listed integrations include OBS, Twitch, Streamlabs Desktop on Windows, Voicemod on Windows, vMix, Ecamm, Philips Hue, Spotify Premium, and Adobe, Final Cut Pro, Capture One and Ableton applications. The list does not mean every integration is available on every operating system or software version; check the relevant app and plugin requirements before relying on a particular action. These figures are manufacturer specifications, not comparative measurements. The Live S is not the same product as the larger Loupedeck Live: Loupedeck lists the Live with six dials, eight tactile buttons, two touch bars and 12 touch-sensitive buttons. The reviewed official sources do not establish current comparative pricing or availability for either model.

Is it a good fit for your streaming setup?
Where its layout can help
The Live S makes sense when a streamer has recurring actions they want to trigger without hunting through software menus—for example, switching scenes, muting audio or adjusting a supported control. Multiple pages and profiles can separate streaming actions from creative-app shortcuts. Whether this is more convenient than a keyboard, mouse or another control surface depends on the person’s workflow; the official material does not establish independent performance, reliability or comparative-value results.
Check compatibility before buying
- Confirm your operating system and the current Loupedeck software and plugin requirements for each application you use.
- Check whether a listed integration is restricted to a platform. Loupedeck specifically marks Streamlabs Desktop and Voicemod integrations as Windows-related.
- Consider whether you will actually use the dials, touch pages and physical layout buttons. If your workflow needs a different control mix, compare other surfaces by control type, software support and update status.
- Because the product line is no longer being sold directly, verify that a retailer has stock and identify the seller and item condition before ordering.
How to set up Loupedeck Live S with OBS
Loupedeck’s OBS support article gives version-specific guidance and a basic action-mapping process. Its version pairings are dated guidance, not a guarantee of current compatibility: a later Loupedeck notice urged users on legacy software 5.8 to update to 6.2.4. Check Loupedeck’s official site for current downloads and compatibility information before installing.

- Check the computer requirements. The product listing specifies Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.15 or later, internet access to download Loupedeck software, and a USB-C or USB-A connection. Connect the Live S using its included cable.
- Install the appropriate Loupedeck software. The OBS support article pairs OBS Studio 28.0 or newer with Loupedeck software 5.3, and OBS 27 or earlier with compatible Loupedeck 5.2 software. Treat these pairings as the article’s documented guidance, and verify the current supported combination before choosing a build.
- Open OBS and Loupedeck software. The support article says to open OBS when its icon in Loupedeck shows a red dot. If the dot remains while OBS is running, restart Loupedeck software.
- Assign an action. In Loupedeck software, drag an action from the action panel to the desired dial or button. Some actions require additional setup, so configure any action-specific options shown in the software and test it in OBS.
- Organize and verify your layout. Arrange related actions on a profile or page that is easy to reach, then confirm each button or dial performs the intended action before using it during a live broadcast.

Streamlabs Desktop: check the software path first
Loupedeck’s Streamlabs guide describes a workflow for software version 5.8: keep Streamlabs Desktop running in the background so its dynamic scene and source folders can appear and sync, then drag actions onto a dial or button. It describes a yellow connection indicator for the newer plugin and a red one for older plugin versions. However, Loupedeck announced that legacy 5.8 and its marketplace lost support effective March 30, 2026, because required cloud services were unavailable. Users on that version can no longer download and install new plugins from the legacy marketplace. Sales, updates and support status
On March 28, 2025, Loupedeck announced it would stop selling the Loupedeck product line and focus on the Logitech MX Creative Console and its ecosystem. The company said remaining inventory would be sold through authorized retailers while supplies lasted, and that warranty claims and technical support would continue as usual. It also said Loupedeck owners would be able to use future software updates and plugins developed for the Creative Console through the shared backend introduced in software release 6.0. These are statements made in that announcement, not confirmation of present stock, current warranty terms for a particular purchase or future support duration. Loupedeck wrote: “This does not mean we are ending support for Loupedeck products.” Read the full March 28, 2025 announcement.
The separate March 2026 notice concerns legacy software 5.8 and its marketplace, not the 2025 decision to end product-line sales. The official product page’s “On sale” wording does not establish that a retailer currently has stock. There is no independent testing or market statistic in the reviewed official material establishing performance, adoption, reliability or comparative value.
