Lisa Rinna says she sensed her eight-season run on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was ending before she left Bravo. On The Traitors Season 4, she took the opposite kind of risk: returning to reality TV as a Traitor, only to be banished in Episode 7. Recent coverage also labels her daughters Amelia and Delilah “nepo babies”—a phrase the available report attributes to Rinna, though it offers too little detail to draw conclusions about her parenting or their careers.
Why did Lisa Rinna leave RHOBH?
In a February 4, 2026 interview on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, Rinna described her departure as a decision she felt ready to make. She recalled recognizing at BravoCon that “this ride’s over,” and said she felt she could no longer contain or control herself amid the show’s drama. CinemaBlend reported her account of nearly quitting at the Season 12 reunion: she went home and wrote an email saying she was done, but ultimately completed filming. She left after eight seasons.

This is Rinna’s retrospective explanation, not an independently verified account of Bravo’s decision-making. Her account emphasizes her own limits and timing rather than claiming that the network pushed her out.
What happened to Rinna on The Traitors Season 4?
Rinna returned to reality television as a Traitor on the fourth season of the competition series. She was banished in Episode 7 after fellow contestant Rob Rausch helped rally Faithfuls against her, according to Peacock’s post-exit interview. Rinna said she enjoyed the role even though she did not think she played it especially well: “I wasn’t a great Traitor, but I was iconic, so I still feel like I won.”

Rob Rausch’s betrayal caught her off guard
Rinna said she did not understand Rausch’s move when it happened and wanted to ask him at the reunion what had prompted it. Peacock’s interview also records her saying she approached the game without forming a Housewives alliance. That distinction matters: she described playing the competition rather than relying on a group of castmates from her former show.
A difficult experience she called a gift
Rinna described the game as emotionally and physically draining, but also transformative. In the same Peacock interview, she said, “It changed me. It completely changed me, and I’m so grateful for it. I had such a great time. I love everyone, and I just wouldn’t want it any other way. It was a gift. It was an absolute gift.”
She had initially been apprehensive about returning to reality television and would have preferred to watch the series with her husband, Harry Hamlin. In a February 4, 2026 interview, TheWrap reported that she eventually chose to take the risk and was glad she did. She also spoke positively about the relationships she formed and the show’s elaborate fashion.
What does the “nepo babies” label mean here?
A January 20, 2026 AOL/InStyle feature was indexed with a description calling Amelia and Delilah “two nepo babies (her words!).” The feature page was not available to read, so the label can be attributed to that description, but there is not enough accessible detail to explain precisely what Rinna said or to infer her views on how she raised her daughters. The phrase is a reported framing, not a basis for claims about either daughter’s career or upbringing.

In Rinna’s account, RHOBH had become a setting where she felt unable to control her behavior, while The Traitors gave her a bounded game to play, with a defined role and an elimination. Her descriptions are personal reflections, not measured comparisons of the shows. The contrast helps explain why leaving one reality series did not mean she had ruled out another: she was wary of returning, but later called the experience of competing on The Traitors a gift.

You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It is the title of Rinna’s autobiography. TheWrap reported that her The Traitors experience happened too recently to be included in the book. The book therefore cannot be treated as her account of the Season 4 game.
