Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire announced their joint Sing A Song All Night Long tour on March 6, 2023: a 20-date North American arena run scheduled from August 4 to September 15. The dates have passed. Madison Square Garden later moved its New York show from August 12 to August 14, 2023; this is a historical tour record, not a current ticket offer.
What was announced
Live Nation produced the announced arena tour, which was scheduled to begin at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul and end at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Earth, Wind & Fire described the pairing on its official site: “Sing A Song All Night Long as we join Lionel Richie for the tour of a lifetime.” The March 6, 2023 announcement did not identify an individual speaker for that line.

The tour put two catalogs of familiar pop, R&B and soul songs on the same bill. The 2023 promoter biographies highlighted Lionel Richie songs including “Endless Love,” “All Night Long,” “Hello,” “Say You, Say Me” and “Dancing on the Ceiling.” They also noted his earlier work with the Commodores, including “Three Times a Lady,” “Still” and “Easy.” Earth, Wind & Fire’s cited songs included “September,” “Let’s Groove” and “Reasons.” These are examples named in the announcement, not a confirmed set list for the tour.
The same Red Light Management announcement published career figures in its artist biographies: it described Richie as having sold more than 125 million albums worldwide, and Earth, Wind & Fire as having sold more than 100 million. It also credited the group with eight number-one hits, 23 albums (eight described as double-platinum and Top 10), and nine GRAMMY Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. The announcement characterized the acts’ combined album sales as a quarter billion worldwide. These are dated publicity-biography claims from 2023; the announcement does not explain the definitions behind the figures, so they should not be treated as independently audited or updated totals.
