The latest reviewed report, published by ELLE Decor on April 14, 2026, says the home sold privately for $7 million after seven months on the market.
What happened to the Brooklyn home?
The townhouse is in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Realtor.com reported that Allen and Harbour bought it in 2021 for $3.35 million. The $7.99 million figure was the initial asking price, not the eventual sale price.
| Event | Reported amount | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase in 2021 | $3.35 million | Purchase price reported by Realtor.com. |
| Initial listing, October 2025 | $7.99 million | Original asking price reported by Realtor.com. |
| Price reduction, January 2026 | $7.3 million | Reduced asking price reported by Mansion Global. |
| Private sale, reported April 2026 | $7 million | Closing price reported by ELLE Decor, which cited the New York Post. |
The reported difference between the 2021 purchase price and the later sale price does not establish the couple’s profit. Renovation spending, financing, taxes and transaction costs are not accounted for in those two figures. ELLE Decor’s sale report describes a private transaction; the precise public-record details have not been independently verified in the reporting reviewed here.
What is the house like?
Realtor.com described a four-story brownstone with five bedrooms, a backyard, a sauna and a cold plunge, as well as gym, laundry and storage areas. Its coverage said the home combined “traditional English charm, modern Brooklyn sensibilities and rich Italian influence.”

The result juxtaposed the townhouse’s historic brownstone character with unusually colorful, expressive interiors.

How does West End Girl relate to the listing?
Allen released West End Girl shortly before the home was listed. Coverage says the album’s title track refers to the townhouse, its purchase and renovation, and that Allen described the album as “inspired by” her relationship. The song’s account is Allen’s artistic narrative, not independent verification of private events in the former couple’s relationship.
Harbour also commented on Allen’s design sensibility in an interview with Architectural Digest, with the wording reproduced by Fox Business: “Lily is someone who lives with color in a deeper way than most. Her taste is bold, silly, fun, eccentric. It’s exciting.”

What the timing does—and does not—show
The album release came shortly before the October 2025 listing, and coverage connected the record’s subject matter with the house. That sequence does not, by itself, establish why the property was put on the market. The clearest documented outcome is that the home was later reported sold privately for $7 million.
