Lil Tay claimed she made $1,024,298.09 in roughly three hours after launching an OnlyFans account shortly after turning 18. She posted a screenshot that appeared to show earnings from subscriptions, messages and tips. The claim was widely reported, but it was not independently verified by OnlyFans or supported by an audit in the available coverage.
Lil Tay said she made $1,024,298.09 in roughly three hours after launching an OnlyFans account shortly after turning 18. She shared a screenshot that appeared to show revenue from subscriptions, messages and tips. The figure was widely reported in August 2025, but the available reporting did not include an OnlyFans confirmation, an audit or evidence that the money had been transferred to her bank account.
That distinction matters: this is a story about a highly publicized earnings claim, not a verified platform record or independently confirmed $1 million payout.
What Lil Tay claimed
Lil Tay, the internet personality and rapper who first became widely known for viral videos made as a child, promoted the account after her 18th birthday on July 29, 2025. Reports said she described the content as having been created shortly after midnight on her birthday.

On August 3, she posted an alleged earnings screenshot and said the account had generated more than $1 million in about three hours. The total most often reported was $1,024,298.09. Us Weekly’s report attributed the displayed figures to three categories:
| Category | Displayed amount |
|---|---|
| Subscriptions | $511,003.79 |
| Messages | $486,558.11 |
| Tips | $26,736.19 |
| Total | $1,024,298.09 |
Other outlets rounded the category totals slightly differently while reporting the same overall figure. The amounts above should therefore be understood as numbers reportedly visible in the screenshot Lil Tay shared, rather than audited financial records.
Was the $1 million independently verified?
Not in the reporting available for this story. No OnlyFans statement, public platform leaderboard, transaction record or independent audit was identified confirming the total.
The most accurate description is that Lil Tay claimed she earned more than $1 million and posted a screenshot that appeared to support the claim. That is different from saying she definitely earned the money, received a $1 million payout or set an officially recognized OnlyFans record.

The screenshot also does not establish whether the displayed sum represented:
- gross revenue before platform deductions;
- creator revenue after deductions but before taxes;
- pending or provisional earnings; or
- money that had already been withdrawn and deposited into a bank account.
For that reason, phrases such as “took home $1 million” or “cleared $1 million” go beyond the available evidence.
Did Lil Tay break an OnlyFans record?
Lil Tay said she had broken an OnlyFans record. News reports compared the claim with Bhad Bhabie’s widely reported statement that she made $1 million in six hours after launching her account in 2021.
However, the coverage reviewed for this article did not identify an official OnlyFans record book, public leaderboard or platform confirmation validating either figure as an audited record. Parade described the record language conditionally: it would be record-breaking if the platform confirmed it.

So the defensible wording is that Lil Tay claimed a record-breaking debut. It should not be presented as an official OnlyFans record.
Why the timing drew attention
The account launch became a major news story partly because it followed so soon after Lil Tay turned 18. She had been publicly known since childhood; ABC News described her in 2018 as a nine-year-old internet personality.
That background explains the intense public reaction without requiring speculation about her private life or the nature of material posted to the account. The relevant factual point is that the reported launch occurred after her 18th birthday, not that any unverified promotional superlative about her age or status was established by OnlyFans.
Claims that she was the “youngest” person on the platform should not be treated as verified designations. The available reporting did not establish an official OnlyFans category or record bearing that title.

Timeline of the claim
- July 29, 2025: Reports identified this as Lil Tay’s 18th birthday. She said the content was created shortly after midnight.
- August 3, 2025: She promoted the account and posted the alleged earnings screenshot, reporting more than $1 million after approximately three hours.
- August 4–5, 2025: Entertainment and news organizations reported the claim, generally using qualifiers such as “claimed,” “allegedly” or “said.” Us Weekly’s coverage reported the detailed breakdown, while other reports repeated the overall total.
What can—and cannot—be concluded
Supported by the available reporting
- Lil Tay said she generated more than $1 million in about three hours.
- She shared a screenshot displaying a total of $1,024,298.09.
- The screenshot reportedly divided the figure among subscriptions, messages and tips.
- The claim was made shortly after her 18th birthday and was widely reported.
Not established by the available reporting
- That OnlyFans independently confirmed the amount.
- That the figure was net income after all deductions and taxes.
- That the money had been paid out to Lil Tay.
- That she set an official OnlyFans record.
- That she held a verified “youngest” status on the platform.
Why the wording matters
Creator earnings screenshots can show useful information, but a single image is not the same as independently verifiable financial documentation. Without platform confirmation or records showing the account’s settled transactions, the screenshot cannot answer basic questions about refunds, chargebacks, deductions, pending balances or taxes.
This is also why reports that carefully used “claims” or “allegedly” were more accurate than headlines stating that Lil Tay definitively made or pocketed $1 million. If OnlyFans later issues a direct statement or reliable financial documentation becomes public, the verification status should be updated.
Identity and earlier public history
Older coverage has used names including Claire Hope and Claire Eileen Qi Hope, while later reporting has identified her as Tay Tian. The names have not been used consistently across sources. Time reported in 2023 that a statement from her social accounts said her legal name was Tay Tian.
Because of that inconsistency, using “Lil Tay” throughout is clearer and avoids presenting a disputed or changing name history as settled fact.

Conclusion
Lil Tay’s $1 million OnlyFans story is supportable as a claim: she said she made $1.02 million in approximately three hours and shared a screenshot showing revenue attributed to subscriptions, messages and tips. The amount was widely reported, but the available evidence does not show that OnlyFans confirmed it, that it represented net income, that it had been paid out, or that it constituted an official platform record.
The responsible account is therefore neither a dismissal nor a definitive earnings report. It is a widely circulated, self-reported figure whose independent verification remained unresolved in the available coverage.
