The phrase “drinking anthem” in the original headline is not Macy’s official characterization of the track. The substantiated event detail is the song title: “Turn Down for What.”
What was the Toys“R”Us float?
Macy’s called the float Geoffrey’s Dazzling Dance Party by Toys“R”Us. Its lineup description imagines Geoffrey the Giraffe DJing along the route, with a functional amplifier at the front carrying the T-Rex’s tunes. The float’s music-themed design provided the setting for Lil Jon’s performance.
