LEGO’s first Pokémon collection launched with three 18+ display builds on February 27, 2026. The headline-grabbing set is Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (72153): 6,838 pieces and an official US launch price of US$649.99. TechRadar reported its Australian launch price as AU$999.99; that figure is specific to Australia, not a universal price.
The first three LEGO Pokémon sets
The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International announced the opening collection on January 12, 2026. All three builds carry an 18+ age label and were scheduled to launch February 27. LEGO’s announced prices below are launch prices, not current retailer prices.
| Set | Number | Pieces | US launch price | Build and display features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eevee | 72151 | 587 | US$59.99 | Posable head, tail and limbs; display it resting or ready to jump. |
| Pikachu and Poké Ball | 72152 | 2,050 | US$199.99 | Pose Pikachu leaping from an open Poké Ball or seated beside it when closed; includes a black lightning-rod-shaped base. |
| Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise | 72153 | 6,838 | US$649.99 | Three articulated figures can be displayed separately or together on a themed action base with hidden Easter eggs. |
LEGO announced the flagship at €649.99 in euro markets and £579.99 in the UK, alongside the US price. Its reported Australian launch price was AU$999.99, according to TechRadar. The official launch announcement and set details are on the LEGO Group newsroom.
Five more sets announced for 2026
On July 7, LEGO announced five additional sets, with stated availability dates of August 1 or October 1, 2026. Those dates have passed, but the announcement does not establish current stock or retailer availability.

The nearly US$1,000 headline refers to the Australian reported launch price of set 72153. In the United States, LEGO’s announced launch price was US$649.99; the euro and UK prices were €649.99 and £579.99. Regional pricing should be compared in the relevant market, and launch prices should not be mistaken for today’s retailer prices.
