What did Holly say about Carrey later?
In a 2026 episode of Work in Progress with Sophia Bush, Holly discussed their relationship in the context of the attention surrounding their careers. The episode and transcript offer her own perspective. El País later reported that Holly said they complemented and helped one another as their careers grew. That is a later, positive recollection—not evidence that the marriage had no difficulties, nor a detailed account of why it ended.
What happened in Holly’s life afterward?
Holly later married investment banker Francis Greco. ABC News reported their engagement in January 2001 and wedding in March 2001. In a 2007 Redbook interview, Holly described meeting Greco on a blind date in 2000 and spoke about their three adopted sons. She said adoption had been part of her plans since she was young. Her account does not link those choices to her earlier marriage or divorce.

Did the breakup end Holly’s career?
The evidence does not support that conclusion. Holly’s own 2014 interview described Dumb and Dumber and the relationship as a turning point, while emphasizing that she had already established herself as an actress. A turning point can mark a period of change or increased attention; it does not establish that the divorce ended her career or caused the choices she made afterward.
