TV correspondent Kym Douglas married Tim Robertson on March 15, 2025, in Los Angeles. Their ceremony at Bel Air Church and reception at a private country club brought together 150 guests for an all-white celebration shaped by faith and family, according to Ashlyn Robinette’s PEOPLE exclusive republished by Yahoo News on April 4, 2025.
When did Kym Douglas marry Tim Robertson?
Douglas and Robertson married on March 15, 2025. They had announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on February 4, after Robertson proposed on January 21 in New York, on a hotel rooftop overlooking Central Park as it snowed.
The couple met through mutual friends Cristina Ferrare and Tony Thomopoulos, who introduced them at a Los Angeles luncheon. Douglas described their marriage as a second chance at love after both had lost their spouses. Speaking to PEOPLE, she said, “The fact that our first marriages ended when we both lost our beloved spouses makes this union a second chance at love for us both that we never thought we would experience.”
Where was the wedding, and what was it like?
The ceremony took place at Bel Air Church, where Douglas said she had been a member for more than 30 years. The reception followed at a private country club in Los Angeles. The wedding had an all-white palette, with guests wearing cream, champagne or blush. Douglas described its feel as a “quiet luxury, elegance and Ralph Lauren vibe.”

The report says 150 guests attended. Minister Chris Bennett led the ceremony, which included prayer and scripture. Douglas said the couple chose a church setting because of their shared faith: “First and foremost, we wanted a church ceremony because of our shared faith.”
How did the couple include their family?
Family was part of the ceremony as well as the couple’s plans for married life. Douglas said her son, Robertson’s adult children and his 16 grandchildren were included, with the grandchildren participating in the ceremony. She also said the newlyweds looked forward to blending their families.

What did Kym Douglas wear?
For the ceremony, Douglas wore a Mira Zwillinger couture gown with a sweetheart neckline and floral details, paired with Prada shoes. She later changed into a Mira Zwillinger lace dress and Christian Louboutin shoes for the reception. What music and food were part of the celebration?
Pianist Nancy Ruczynski and musicians from Promenade String Quartet performed during the ceremony. Douglas walked down the aisle to “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “Canon in D.” At the reception, Party on the Moon played. Douglas and Robertson chose Barry White’s “You Are the First, the Last, My Everything” for their first dance; Douglas also danced with her son to Bette Midler’s “Wind Beneath My Wings.”

The meal offered salad and a choice of filet mignon with Alaskan king crab, miso Chilean sea bass, or truffle and wild mushroom ravioli, followed by an assorted dessert bar. Rather than a traditional wedding cake, the couple had a duck-shaped birthday cake for Robertson: the celebration was close to his birthday, and the report says he loves ducks.
