PerthNow reported that Kourtney Kardashian shared an Instagram Story showing a large spider near a door frame shortly after she arrived in Sydney for Blink-182’s Australian tour. The outlet described it as appearing to be a huntsman; the species was not independently confirmed.
What happened in Sydney?
In a report published on 7 February 2024, PerthNow said Kardashian landed in Sydney on Tuesday morning and shared the spider image on Wednesday. The report described the spider as appearing to be a huntsman near the top of a door frame. No original Instagram Story was independently available to verify the image or identify the spider.
What did Kourtney Kardashian reportedly say?
PerthNow attributed two reactions to Kardashian’s Instagram Story: “Um no thanks,” and “Biggest fear is spiders, I think I’m handling this really well.” The wording is reported by the outlet, rather than independently verified against the original Story. Read PerthNow’s incident report.
Why was Kardashian in Australia?
PerthNow reported that Kardashian was accompanying her husband, Travis Barker, while Blink-182 toured Australia. Official tour announcements corroborate the schedule, including a Sydney date on 16 February 2024; they do not independently establish her personal travel itinerary. Sony Music Canada listed the Australia and New Zealand dates in its 11 October 2022 tour announcement. Live Nation also published an Australian tour announcement on 24 October 2023.

What is confirmed—and what is not?
- Reported: Kardashian shared an image of a spider in Sydney and made the quoted remarks in an Instagram Story, according to PerthNow.
- Not independently established: The original Story and the spider’s species were not available for direct verification. “Huntsman” should therefore be understood as the news report’s apparent identification, not an expert-confirmed finding.
- Not reported: The cited coverage does not say Kardashian was bitten or injured.
