The headline refers to an unconfirmed celebrity report, not a documented custody change. On August 6, 2024, Life & Style reported that an unnamed insider claimed Mason Disick had decided not to live with Kourtney Kardashian and was spending more time with his father, Scott Disick. The same account said Kourtney was “heartbroken.” Yahoo Entertainment published a substantially identical report.
What was actually reported?
The central allegation came from an anonymous source quoted by Life & Style: “He’s now made the decision not to live with Kourtney anymore.” The source added, “She is heartbroken over it.” The report also claimed Kourtney was giving Mason space and that she blamed Scott Disick.

Those statements describe what an unnamed insider allegedly told a magazine. They are not a direct statement from Kourtney, Mason or Scott, and neither report cites a court filing or other custody document. The wording therefore should not be treated as proof that Mason permanently moved homes.
How the story connects to The Kardashians
The reports linked the claim to a family storyline on Hulu’s The Kardashians during the family’s Australia trip. Kourtney was quoted as explaining that Mason did not want to come because he was a teenager who wanted to be with his friends and his dad. She also described herself as “really sad.”

In the quoted comments, Kourtney said, “He’s a teenager and he wants to be with his friends and his dad,” and that “Mason [doesn’t want] to come.” Those remarks establish that Mason’s absence from that trip was discussed on the show; they do not independently establish a permanent change in residence.
Reported claim versus confirmed information
| Question | What the reports say | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Did Mason stop living with Kourtney? | An unnamed Life & Style source claimed he had made that decision. | No direct confirmation or publicly cited court record is provided. |
| Was Kourtney heartbroken? | The same anonymous source used that description. | It is a source characterization, not a named-person quotation confirming her feelings. |
| Why was Mason absent from Australia? | The reports quoted Kourtney saying he preferred being with friends and his father. | That explanation is presented as Kourtney’s on-screen comment in the reports. |
| Was there a formal custody change? | The articles do not cite one. | No formal residence or custody order is established by these accounts. |
Where Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian’s children fit in
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick share three children: Mason, Penelope and Reign. Kourtney also has a younger son, Rocky, with Travis Barker. That co-parenting and blended-family background is the context in which the report frames Mason’s alleged preference to spend more time with Scott.
The available account does not establish abuse, neglect, a diagnosed family problem or a legal dispute. It also does not say whether any change was temporary, informal or permanent. A teenager choosing to spend more time with one parent for a period is not the same as a documented custody transfer.
Did Mason Disick move in with Scott?
That conclusion cannot be confirmed from the published accounts. The strongest wording is the anonymous insider’s claim that Mason decided not to live with Kourtney anymore. Neither Life & Style nor the matching Yahoo Entertainment article supplies a named confirmation from Mason, Kourtney or Scott, and neither cites a court or custody document.
Rank #3
Accordingly, the most accurate description is that Mason was reported to be spending more time with Scott or preferring his father’s home—not that a permanent move has been proven.
How to watch the related storyline
The reports identify Hulu as the platform associated with The Kardashians. Availability, season listings and subscription access can vary by country and change over time, so viewers should check Hulu or the authorized service in their region for the current listing. The reports themselves do not establish that every episode or the Australia-trip footage is available in every territory.

- Whether Mason’s living arrangement changed permanently or only for a period.
- Whether Kourtney, Scott or Mason has publicly confirmed the allegation.
- Whether any formal custody filing or agreement changed.
- What happened after the August 2024 reports.
Until a named family statement or reliable legal record addresses those questions, the “heartbroken” story remains anonymous-source celebrity reporting.
