Its Rotten Tomatoes score is no longer 63%: the site displayed a 66% Tomatometer from 79 critic reviews and an 84% Popcornmeter when checked on October 8, 2026. Those figures are separate critics’ and audience measures, and Rotten Tomatoes scores can change as reviews are added.
What is Knox Goes Away about?
Keaton plays John Knox, a contract killer whose rapidly evolving dementia diagnosis forces him to confront what he has done and what time he may have left. When his estranged adult son, Miles, becomes entangled in a dangerous situation, Knox tries to save him and seek redemption. The premise comes from the film’s listings at Rotten Tomatoes and Apple TV; it describes a fictional thriller, not medical guidance about dementia.

What is the Rotten Tomatoes score now?
Rotten Tomatoes displayed a 66% Tomatometer based on 79 critic reviews and an 84% Popcornmeter when its film page was checked on October 8, 2026. The 63% in the older headline is an earlier snapshot, not the score shown at that check. The two percentages are not interchangeable: the Tomatometer reflects critics’ positive reviews, while the Popcornmeter is the audience measure. Rotten Tomatoes explains that its scores can shift as review totals change in its FAQ.
The site’s Critics Consensus says: “Michael Keaton directs Michael Keaton in Knox Goes Away, and gets a terrific performance out of himself — albeit one that’s left stranded by an underwhelming screenplay.” That is Rotten Tomatoes’ consensus statement, not a quote from a particular critic.
