Kim Zolciak-Biermann posted the nude hat photo to Instagram on March 31, 2019, crediting her husband, Kroy Biermann, as the photographer. Contemporary coverage described her wearing a large tan sun hat, a ring and a bracelet.
What was in Kim Zolciak-Biermann’s photo?
Hollywood Life reported on March 31, 2019, that the Instagram image showed Zolciak-Biermann wearing a large tan sun hat and jewelry. Her caption presented the look as makeup-free and joked about the outfit:
“Make up free Sunday’s #iwokeuplikethis I’ve had this outfit for years ⛱ photo credit my hot hubby @kroybiermann.”

Who took the photo, and when was it posted?
Zolciak-Biermann credited Kroy Biermann in the caption. Hollywood Life reported the post appeared on her Instagram on March 31, 2019; Us Weekly’s April 1 follow-up also covered the image and reactions to it.
What is known—and not known—about the image?
Us Weekly reported that some commenters questioned the photo and that Zolciak-Biermann responded. That account does not establish whether the image was edited. The contemporary reports do not identify the hat’s brand or model, and they do not establish where the photo was taken.

A separate Bravo story published September 3, 2019 covered throwback images from a “Dirty 30” photo album made for Biermann in 2015. Those pictures featured a cowgirl outfit with jeans, brown boots and a matching hat; they were not the March sun-hat Instagram post.
