Kim Kardashian’s Re-Edition Magazine cover shoot used body paint to create the illusion of tailored clothes, paired with a blonde pixie wig—not a confirmed haircut. Behind-the-scenes images described in November 2025 coverage show several painted looks and a separate ’90s-inspired hair transformation.
What Kardashian wore in the body-paint shoot
Us Weekly reported on November 5, 2025, that Kardashian shared behind-the-scenes images from a Re-Edition Magazine cover photoshoot. In one look, body paint suggested a plunging top beneath a tailored blazer, high-waisted trousers and a belt. She wore a thong painted to blend into the design, according to Us Weekly’s account.
Another painted design created the appearance of a partly unbuttoned white top and tie, with real pants completing the look. In a separate pose, Kardashian wore a striped eye mask, ties, gray trousers and flats. The painted clothing was an image-making effect for the shoot, not a set of ready-to-wear garments.
Was Kim Kardashian’s pixie cut real?
No. The short blonde style was a wig worn over her brunette hair, rather than a confirmed permanent cut or dye job. Us Weekly described wet styling and micro bangs; Marie Claire’s November 6, 2025 coverage called it a choppy, frosted-tip pixie with a ’90s influence. The descriptions differ slightly on the bangs, but both identify the look as a wig.

Who was credited with the shoot?
Us Weekly reproduced Kardashian’s caption: “BTS of Re-Edition Magazine. Created directed and styled by @illjahjah.” That credit identifies the person she named for creating, directing and styling the shoot; it does not establish who applied the body paint or identify other crew members.
Us Weekly also reported that Kardashian discussed using a cigarette as a prop in a TikTok video, quoting her as saying, “I fully thought that maybe I would take up smoking during law school but I didn’t.” That is the magazine’s account of her remarks about the prop, not evidence that she took up smoking.
