Kim Kardashian appeared with soft deep auburn hair—not a confirmed current color—in promotional photos reported by AOL on October 28, 2024. The look’s “bold red” and “unrecognizable” framing came from the headline; the article described copper-toned hair with slightly darker brown roots.
What Kim Kardashian’s red-hair look actually looked like
AOL’s October 28, 2024 report described Kardashian’s hair as a soft deep auburn shade, also characterizing it as copper, with slightly darker brown roots. Those are the article’s descriptions rather than evidence that auburn and copper are identical shades. Her hair was parted in the center and styled ultra straight and sleek by hairstylist Jake Gallagher, according to the report.
The photos also showed Kardashian in a plunging black dress. The article connected the images to promotion for new SKKN BY KIM lipsticks. Its displayed text included a comment about the lipstick, not a statement from Kardashian about her hair transformation.
Why the appearance drew attention
The change stood out against the range of color experiments recalled in the AOL article. It mentions a May sequence in which Kardashian moved from dark brown to icy blonde and then bubblegum pink.
