Kevin Parker shared a photo of his newborn in an Instagram post reported on 13 August 2025. The child is Parker and his wife Sophie’s second child; the PerthNow report said the couple had not publicly revealed the baby’s name or gender. Since then, Tame Impala released its fifth full-length album, Deadbeat, on 17 October 2025.
What Parker shared about his second child
In a follow-up Instagram photo dump captioned “been busy part 2,” one image showed the newborn asleep on Parker’s chest. PerthNow reported that Parker and Sophie married in 2019 and welcomed their daughter Peach in 2021. The outlet said the name and gender of their new child had not been publicly disclosed at the time of its 13 August 2025 report. PerthNow’s report also noted that the photo dump included a Fremantle Dockers game, a DJ appearance with producer Kito and a Barcelona shoot for the “End Of Summer” video.

How the music chapter developed
The post arrived amid a run of Tame Impala activity. In July 2025, the Australian Associated Press described an earlier “Been busy” post—with studio images, a track-progress chart and Parker’s pregnant wife—as a cryptic hint of possible new music, not a confirmed album announcement. AAP’s July report captured that early uncertainty.
From “End Of Summer” to “Loser”
On 25 July 2025, Tame Impala released “End Of Summer,” its first official release under the name since 2020’s The Slow Rush and its first on Columbia Records, according to The Music. “Loser” followed on 4 September. The Music described it as a more psychedelic-rock track, in contrast with the dance and house influences of “End Of Summer.” The Music’s “Loser” report covered the follow-up.

Deadbeat is now the current album context
The earlier posts and singles were followed by Deadbeat, which Tame Impala’s official US Store lists as the project’s fifth full-length album, released 17 October 2025, with 12 tracks. The store lists CD and black vinyl editions: official Deadbeat listings.

The cited coverage establishes that Parker shared a newborn photo and that the baby is the couple’s second child. It does not identify the child by name or gender. No further details about the baby should be inferred from the photo or from the family’s music-related posts.
