The figure was reported by WrestlingNewsSource as a remark Nash made on the Kliq This podcast; WWE has not officially confirmed Punk’s individual sales total. It is separate from WWE’s official announcement that Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 set an event merchandise record.
How much merchandise did CM Punk sell in his first 24 hours back?
The reported figure is approximately $600,000. WrestlingNewsSource quoted Nash saying, “I think he did $600,000 worth of merchandise like the first 24 hours that he came back.” The wording matters: this is Nash’s estimate, relayed in a secondary report published December 20, 2023—not an audited figure or a sales result WWE publicly confirmed. How the claim differs from WWE’s merchandise record
WWE’s separate announcement concerned all merchandise sold at Survivor Series: WarGames, not Punk’s personal sales. In a November 28, 2023 statement, WWE said the event set the best merchandise-sales record in Survivor Series’ 37-year history, alongside records for viewership and gate. The announcement credited the merchandise partnership with Fanatics, but did not state a Punk-specific dollar amount. WWE’s event announcement

Why Punk’s return drew such attention
Punk made his surprise return at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 25, 2023, after nearly a decade away from WWE. The company reported 17,138 attendees and viewership 44 percent above the previous Survivor Series record. WWE also said the comeback moment had more than 71 million views across platforms. Those figures establish the event’s reach, but they do not independently verify Nash’s estimate of merchandise sales.

The $600,000 figure should be treated as a reported estimate attributed to Nash, not as a confirmed total from WWE or Fanatics. The available reporting does not provide an itemized breakdown, define which merchandise categories were included, or establish how the amount was calculated. WWE Shop currently lists CM Punk apparel and other merchandise, but a live catalog does not verify sales from November 2023. CM Punk merchandise at WWE Shop
