By June 25–26, 2024, reports said she would not return for the rest of Season 16. In November, she apologized for the photo prank, saying she had taken it too far.
What led to the reported suspension?
The dispute followed the June 6, 2024, filming of the grand opening of Moore’s Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta. On June 14, Entertainment Tonight reported that Moore had been suspended indefinitely from filming Season 16 while Bravo reviewed content displayed at the event. The report, citing a source, said the material allegedly depicted castmate Brittany Eady performing a sexual act. That was an allegation in the reporting, not an independently established finding.
ET also attributed to a source the claim that the images had been found online, and said the network was still reviewing what was shown during filming. At that point, Eady and the rest of the cast continued filming and Moore’s return was unclear. Bravo had not publicly confirmed a finding about the material in the reporting cited at the time.
What did Moore and Eady say at the time?
Moore denied distributing private images
In a statement reported by ET on June 14, Moore wrote: “I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images or footage of anyone, nor solicited images owned by others to use to threaten or blackmail. I have always been vindicated.” This was Moore’s denial; it does not establish what material was displayed at the spa opening.

In an Instagram Live reported by Yahoo Entertainment on June 15, Moore also told viewers, “You will be seeing me,” and, “I’m not going anywhere despite all this stuff.” Those remarks were her immediate public reaction, before later reports about the rest of Season 16.
Eady described feeling targeted and denied weapon threats
ET reported that Eady said she felt “targeted or HAZED.” She also wrote, “For the record, I’ve never once had possession of any weapons or threatened anyone ever.” Separately, ET attributed to a source close to the show the statement that Moore was never threatened with a weapon and that no weapon was present during production. These are attributed statements, not a finding about every private interaction between the castmates.

Was Kenya Moore returning to RHOA Season 16?
On June 25, TVLine reported that Moore would not return following the suspension. It also quoted her message to fans: “#TEAMTWIRLFOREVER You are the best fans anyone could ever ask for. and I love you all so very much. Always and forever.” The next day, the Los Angeles Times reported that she would not appear in Season 16 and that Bravo declined to comment.
The contemporaneous reports described her absence from the remainder of that season; they did not establish that she had been fired permanently. The Times characterized the separation at the time as a break and reported that a future return remained possible. That should not be confused with a confirmed plan for her to return.

What did Moore say later?
In an interview with Tamron Hall reported by TVLine on November 14, 2024, Moore apologized for the photo prank: “I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation. I am sorry for what I’ve done. I didn’t have to take it that far.” TVLine reported that Moore said she escalated because she felt her child was being threatened. This later apology and explanation came months after her June denial and Instagram Live comments.
