Was “I Sit In Parks” a debut at the CMAs?
Before the ceremony, the CMA announced that Ballerini was set to debut the song at the show, calling it a brand-new song. Its subsequent appearance in the CMA’s official performance archive confirms that she performed it there. The announcement described it as a planned debut; the archive establishes the performance, not whether it was the song’s first-ever performance in every setting.
What is “I Sit In Parks” about?
Ballerini’s November 7, 2025 announcement about Mount Pleasant framed the song around choices, sacrifices, longing, and the real-life costs behind personal aspirations. That is the artist’s framing of the song, rather than a definitive interpretation. Read the announcement on Ballerini’s official site for her release context.
