In a conversation with Whoopi Goldberg on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2024, Clarkson said her doctor had recommended treatment for two years. She said she had hesitated because of thyroid problems, and described the medication this way: “Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic. It’s not, it’s something else. It would be speculation to identify the drug from her description. Clarkson’s account also does not establish that another person would have the same experience.
What she had said earlier about her health
In January 2024, Clarkson spoke about listening to her doctor, eating a healthy mix of foods with a protein-rich focus, and walking in New York. She also mentioned infrared saunas and cold plunges. Those earlier comments describe things she discussed; they do not establish that any one behavior or treatment caused a particular amount of weight loss. (Today)

Beware of fake videos and product endorsements
False claims have also used Clarkson’s image and voice. AFP Fact Check found that a video purporting to show her discussing weight loss with Jimmy Fallon had digitally altered audio; the original 2023 interview did not discuss weight-related issues. AFP reported that its Loccus.ai audio analysis returned a 92-percent probability for the audio in that particular clip. That result applies to the analyzed video, not to celebrity videos generally.
