The reunion is documented, but the reports available here do not confirm what Gifford said or did in the Regis Philbin impression named in the headline. Without the original segment, its timing and exact wording cannot be verified.
What happened at the 2024 TODAY reunion
Gifford appeared with Kotb and Bush Hager on March 26, 2024, more than five years after leaving the morning show. Us Weekly reported that she joked about Bush Hager taking over her fourth-hour cohost role in April 2019. That establishes the reunion and its context, but does not independently describe a Philbin impression.
Us Weekly’s account of Gifford’s March 2024 return does not provide the impression’s wording. The impression claim appears in the headline, but the exact performance cannot be confirmed from that reporting.
Why Regis Philbin is part of the story
Gifford and Philbin cohosted Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee from 1985 to 2000, a 15-year partnership described in NBCUniversal’s 2015 announcement. Philbin also joined TODAY’s fourth hour in 2015 as a contributor alongside Gifford and Kotb—not as a co-anchor. Then-co-executive producer Tammy Filler said, “Regis brings his legendary charm and humor each time he visits TODAY.”

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
NBCUniversal’s 2015 announcement about Philbin joining TODAY documents that role and the earlier partnership. The history explains why an impression of Philbin would resonate during a Gifford reunion, but it does not establish what happened in the 2024 segment.
Keep the separate TODAY appearances distinct
Philbin and Gifford had appeared together on TODAY before the 2024 reunion: in June 2012, Philbin filled in for Kotb, and the Los Angeles Times reported that he and Gifford resumed their on-air rapport while discussing the day’s newspapers. That was a different appearance, not the Gifford-Kotb reunion in March 2024. Gifford also appeared during Kotb’s final TODAY episode on January 10, 2025, another separate event.

What can be confirmed about the impression
