What she had disclosed before the video
In a video statement on March 22, 2024, Catherine said tests after major abdominal surgery had found cancer and that her medical team had advised preventative chemotherapy. Neither the March announcement nor the September video identified the cancer type, so it should not be inferred from the statements.

The September video documented a treatment milestone and Catherine’s stated hopes and outlook at that time. Contemporary coverage reported that she intended to resume a few public engagements in the coming months; that was a plan expressed in 2024, not evidence of her current duties or medical status.
