The clip was published by The Sun; it was not released by Kensington Palace as an official engagement video. The person who said he filmed the footage also described the circumstances of recording it, although some online users continued to question the clip’s authenticity. Why Catherine had been absent

The Mother’s Day photograph intensified scrutiny

Catherine’s separate health announcement on March 22
Three or four days after the farm-shop footage was reported, Catherine released a separate video message. On March 22, 2024, she said that tests conducted after her operation had found cancer and that she had begun a course of preventative chemotherapy. She asked for time, space, and privacy while she and her family dealt with the news.
The chronology is important. The Windsor footage was externally obtained footage of a private outing reported on March 18–19. Catherine’s March 22 recording was a direct personal address released to explain her health situation. The two videos should not be conflated: the first showed a moment from her private life, while the second provided the substantive medical disclosure.
Catherine did not publicly identify the type of cancer in that announcement. Speculation about the specific diagnosis or treatment details goes beyond what she said publicly and should not be presented as fact.
