Which royal event did Kate Middleton miss, and when did she return?
The event was the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration at Westminster Abbey. InStyle’s 6 March 2025 report said the Princess of Wales was expected to attend the service on 10 March, following her absence from the 2024 service. The official Court Circular confirms that the Prince and Princess of Wales attended on 10 March 2025.
The distinction matters: InStyle’s report was advance coverage, while the Court Circular is the official record of attendance. The 2025 return is now historical, not a future appearance.
What was the 2025 service about?
The Royal Family’s retrospective described the theme as “Together we Thrive” and said the service celebrated the enduring spirit of the Commonwealth family. It also noted performances and a reflection during the programme.
