Australian influencer Kat Clark drew criticism and support after posting a white-sequin dress with a colourful floral pattern that she planned to wear to a friend’s wedding. Some commenters thought it was too white; others said the pattern made it different from an all-white or bridal-style dress. PerthNow reported the dispute on 7 November 2024.
What Kat Clark said about the dress
PerthNow reported that Clark posted her outfit and a video responding to a comment questioning why she was wearing white when the bride would also wear white. Clark asked, “You know when they say you can’t wear white to a wedding this is okay right?” She said she planned to wear the dress because it was her only option.

Other comments defended the dress or suggested asking the bride first. One commenter wrote, “If you ever question it ALWAYS CHECK WITH THE BRIDE,” while another said, “As long as it’s not an actual wedding dress, it should never be a problem. People are just superstitious 😂,”

Is a floral dress with white in it too white for a wedding?
